Childhood dreams of becoming a sports agent were not easily realized for Raul Vegas, FOX ’19. But with personal pluck that was largely developed during his time on North Broad Street, Raul has made it happen, taking on his first NFL client in recent years while also working full time as a successful freelance editor/producer for NFL Films, MLB Network, Major League Soccer and most recently NBC Sports.

Big breaks. Raul parlayed his talent into a video production internship with NFL Films, which led to more career opportunities with other major sports leagues. He now edits video elements for live TV/streaming broadcasts at MLB Network during baseball season. He’s also produced live match highlights during the Major League Soccer season for MLS Season Pass. This past winter, Raul worked with the features department at NBC Sports for Super Bowl LX and the Winter Olympics.

Owl agent. In October 2023, Raul received his license to act as a player’s agent in the NFL. His first client was a former Temple football center who briefly considered going pro before pursuing a career outside football. But Raul has since secured other clients, including Cleveland Browns cornerback Dom Jones, and is currently working with Jordan Robinson, who will be entering the 2026 NFL draft class.

A kid with a camera. Raul grew up in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and was raised in a Latino household with three sisters and two parents who encouraged him to pursue his dreams. From a young age he aspired to work in the world of professional sports but wasn’t sure how he would make that happen. While attending Northampton Community College, he made short films and highlight reels for his friends in athletics. He transferred to Temple, where his dream began to come to fruition, as living on his own in a big city helped him develop a work ethic and professional focus.

COVID-19 proved a major setback for Raul, who lost a job in pharmaceutical sales and found himself living back at home. But he bounced back, pursuing a master’s degree to meet the qualifications to be an NFL agent and growing his YouTube channel, where he made hype videos of professional athletes that collected hundreds of thousands of views.

“People were telling me to pick one or the other: ‘You can’t be an NFL agent and work in television.’ I took it as a challenge. I’m going to do both. I’m going to make it work.”
